Bird Feeder Craft Purchase large 16 or 20-ounce Styrofoam cups, peanut butter,
bird seed, twine and disposable gloves (perhaps your local deli store would
donate some.) Make an opening in the bottom of the cup, make a double loop and
put the twine through and make a large knot on the inside. The twine should be
approximately two feet in length, long enough to hang on a tree branch (finished
length will be about 1 foot.) Using a sucker stick or plastic knife smear peanut
butter all around on the cup and roll in bird seed. For color add a few bright
red cranberries. Hang feeders outside the windows and enjoy watching birds feed.
Project time: l hour.
Hats off to May Purchase at a craft store - small straw hats, lace ribbon and
small silk flowers (some of these items can be recycled from your collections)
Glue lace on the under side of the brim of the hat. Place a narrow 1/4 to 1/3
inch ribbon around base of the crown and glue; make a bow out of ribbon or lace
and glue on where the ribbon meets. Finish by gluing small silk or dried flowers
on the inner part of the brim. Place a fragrance on some cotton balls and glue
to the inside of the hats' crown. Project time: 1 hour.
Ma Ma's Soap 1 cup soap slivered, 1/2 cup oat meal or corn meal, 1 1/2

blend. Make into small balls. Use as an accent in bathroom or place in
nightstand, dresser drawer or with towels to make linens smell nice!! Project
time: 1 1/2 hour. |
