2009 Wood County Fair
Flower Show August 4-10, 2009
2009 Wood
County Fair schedule
The Wood County Fair Flower Show will be held
at the Fair Grounds with the first show’s exhibits due in by 11 a.m. on
Tuesday August 4. Specific new flower specimens for this year include
Pink Promise hybrid tea rose, Red Double Knock Out bush rose,
Double Click Comos, Honey Bear Sunflower, Big Red Zinnia.
There are numerous categories for specimens, patio containers, house plants
and hanging baskets. The artistic theme this year is International Flair
so arrangements will remind you of countries all around the world. There are
artistic categories from novice to advanced. Juniors are also encouraged to
exhibit both specimens and arrangements in the Junior section.
The Second show will begin on Friday August 7.
