OAGC Marketing takes the first step”

The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs executive committee is very pleased to announce the appointment of Emily LeVan, member of North Liberty Garden Club, Region 7 to the position of Marketing Chair. She accepted this position on October 26th.

In addition to being our new Marketing Chair, Emily is the current Secretary (publicity chair and webmaster, too) of the North Liberty Garden Club. She was born, raised, and still lives in rural Morrow County.  In addition to volunteering with the garden club, she volunteers as a parent advocate with the Morrow County Family and Children First Council.  She is the mom of two special needs teenagers and wife to an amazing husband.  Yes, she wears many, many hats!

Growing the gardening community is something that she is passionate about, so the newly created Marketing Chair was a hat made perfectly for her head.  But it is a big task and one that she simply cannot do without your cooperation.  Emily will need our member’s help building a database of potential advertisers and sponsors for OAGC.  Most businesses would potentially be a good fit, but especially those that have a direct relationship to our gardening community.  She will also need to build a database of members who have a knowledge or expertise in gardening, floral design, horticulture, or other relevant areas.  Please use the following links  to access the submission forms to help Emily start building these tools.

The OAGC executives foresee Emily helping to make all our communication tasks a bit easier. Please welcome her to the OAGC team.
