I've been in a garden club since 1978 (I believe). I began with a club whose members were not only interested in gardening but also in floral design. There I started designing my first arrangements for the Wayne County Fair flower show. I'm happy to say that I still enjoy entering designs in flower shows, including our OAGC Convention shows.  

In 2010, I retired from my full-time job. My husband, Bill, and I moved to the Mansfield area, where I joined a second garden club. After my retirement, an OAGC officer contacted me and asked if I would consider running for the 3rd VP position. Well, I did and started climbing the ladder, which eventually led to me serving as OAGC President from 2016 - 2018. 

As you can see, 10 years later someone tapped me on the shoulder again and asked if I would run for another term beginning in 2026. So, I said yes after consulting with Bill. I will begin my two-year term as of October 1, 2026 as your OAGC President, 2026 – 2028.

I'm very honored and assure you (with lots of help), I will do my very best for OAGC.
